Sophia's awakening, a story of rural women empowerment through engineering

"This was my presentation, like a story. I am going to tell you a story that is a real fact and that has as its protagonist a lady who uses engineering to achieve a dream ".

The dream referred to by Alfonso González, the president of the World Council of Engineers, takes place in Mexico and is part of a project that shows that engineering helps improve the quality of life of indigenous women.

Alfonso González presented this project during an event dedicated to the empowerment of rural women in the field of engineering within the framework of the Commission on the Status of Women.

1st edition of Manuel Lorenzo Pardo Awards

On Wednesday, February 28th, the awarding ceremony of the first edition of Manuel Lorenzo Pardo’s Awards on Water Management best practices was held. On a biennial basis, the Association of Civil Engineers awards people, organizations and institutions regarding water which stand out for their best practice in the integrated water resource management model.

The entities awarded this year were the Ebro river Basin Authority and Valencia’s Water Court. In the awardee proclamation speech, Association of Civil Engineers’ Vicepresident Tomás A. Sancho, highlighted the avant garde nature of both organizations in their different areas: Valencia’ Water Court as a millenial institution regarding the ruling of water rights and Ebro river Basin Authority, as the first basin organization, created by Mr. Manuel Lorenzo Pardo in 1926.

The two currencies that players can play on the Uptown Ace's pokies are dollars and pounds. There is no real way to tell the difference except to play on the casino and decide which one feels most comfortable with. Both of these currency rates are in actuality very stable. When you play on the internet you do not have to worry about what is exchanged as well as how it is exchanged. In a real casino, any of the currencies that are dealt with would fluctuate greatly. According to the https://aucasinoslist.com/casinos/uptown-pokies/, the Uptown Ace's website features a VIP program. There are various different types of bonuses that players can become involved in. The highest level of VIP program includes a 100 percent match up to a specific amount spent. In addition to this, players will receive comp points whenever they spend money on the site.
